How we collect, use, and protect your information

At Brainy (brainy.ink), we believe in transparency. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data — what we collect, why we collect it, and how you control it.
TL;DR: We only collect what we need, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything anytime. We track analytics only with your consent.
When you join the whitelist or use our services, we collect: email address, Instagram handle, portfolio links, content preferences, and any information you voluntarily provide through forms or communications.
We collect analytics data through Google Analytics (only with your consent) including: page views, session duration, device type, browser information, and anonymized IP addresses. We never track you without your explicit consent.
If you submit work for featuring, we collect your creative content, captions, and metadata. You retain full ownership of all content you submit.
When you submit your information through one of our lead or sign-up forms on third-party advertising platforms (such as LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms and Meta Lead Ads), we receive the contact details you provided on that form, for example your name, email address, and any answers you gave, along with the campaign it came from.
We use this data only to follow up with you about the Brainy products and services you expressed interest in, and to manage that relationship in our own internal CRM. We do not sell this data, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers that help us operate.
We retain lead data only as long as needed for the purpose above. You can request access to or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hi@brainy.ink or using our opt-out page.
We use your information to: operate the Brainy platform, send whitelist notifications, feature your work (with credit), route opportunities to you, process payments, and provide customer support.
If you opt in, we'll send: whitelist updates, feature notifications, opportunity alerts, and product updates. You can unsubscribe anytime via our opt-out page.
With your consent, we use analytics to: improve user experience, optimize performance, understand usage patterns, and make data-driven product decisions. All analytics data is anonymized.
We use industry-standard security including: encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure database storage via Supabase, environment variable protection for sensitive keys, and regular security audits.
Your data is accessed only by: authorized Brainy team members, trusted service providers (Stripe, ClickUp, Supabase, Google Analytics), and only as necessary to provide services. We never sell your data.
We use: Stripe for payments, ClickUp for task management, Supabase for database/auth, and Google Analytics for insights (with consent). Each has their own privacy policies and security standards.
We only use analytics cookies with your explicit consent. You can accept, reject, or change your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie banner or footer link.
Essential cookies: Authentication, session management, and user preferences (always active). Analytics cookies: Google Analytics for traffic analysis (only if you consent). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
You can: manage cookie preferences via our cookie manager, clear cookies in your browser settings, opt out of analytics tracking, and browse in incognito/private mode.
You have the right to: access your personal data, update or correct your information, request data deletion, export your data, opt out of communications, and withdraw consent for cookies/analytics.
You can request deletion of your data at any time. We'll remove your information within 30 days unless legally required to retain it. Use our opt-out page or email hi@brainy.ink.
As a company registered in Estonia (European Union), we fully comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This includes: explicit consent requirements, right to deletion ("right to be forgotten"), data portability, transparent privacy practices, and data protection by design. Your rights under GDPR are protected regardless of where you are located.
We retain data as long as: your account is active, necessary for services, required by law, or until you request deletion. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
We share data only: with service providers (Stripe, ClickUp, Supabase), when legally required (valid legal requests), with your consent (featured content), or in business transfers (with notice to you).
We do not and will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
